🔸 EPU – Elastic Polyurethane
A second-generation polyurethane offering higher elasticity and faster shape recovery compared to TPU. This technology is used in selected GSWF products to enhance flexibility and resistance to deformation.
🔸 KPU – Upgraded Elastic Polyurethane
KPU is an advanced evolution of EPU, featuring exceptional resistance to weather conditions, repeated folding, and bending. Originally developed for high-performance athletic footwear uppers, this material is now utilized in GSWF protective products due to its unique properties.
Currently, GSWF windshield, sunroof, and headlight protection films are manufactured using a KPU base because:
- TPU-based films still face technical challenges such as insufficient visible light transmission (low VLT) and surface scratch lines.
- KPU’s more robust structure delivers superior clarity and durability against sunlight, heat, and impact.
KPU-based films are produced by specialized factories, and GSWF selects only the highest-grade options to ensure uncompromising quality.
